Last Post for the month of May? MAY-be (definitely) well so fast one month has passed since i lost posted.. but well i guess it was bcoz it was more occupied.. mainly with our church participation in Adonai League and also a few gatherings with old friends.. celebrating some birthdays.. had 2 league matches this month.. before the whole tournament began, we were eagerly anticipating the prospect of meeting our opponents. As this was our first time participating in this tournament, we had no idea of what to expect - who and how our opponents are going to be like. nonetheless, we trained hard to give our best for the tournament. the first game gave us an idea of what the games are going to be like. it exposed some weaknesses in our side but yet showcased our teamwork, endurance and fighting spirt at the same time. while we took the lead early on, we gave away 2 goals to be down 2 - 1 at half time. 10 mins or so after the 2nd half kicked - off, we gave away yet another goal to be 3 -1. though there was this tinge of feeling hopeless, we never gave up. we pulled one goal back and our opponents began to crack up. two of them got embroiled in an argument and had to be separated by the referee. one of them was their defense marshall, and got subbed out by their manager. we began attacking more and found the equaliser; albeit thru a goaline scramble. it all counts - doesnt matter. we were so close to finding a winner at the end but settled for a 3 - 3 draw. we ended the game cheering, congratulating ourselves. the other team was low in morale, seeing their 2 goal lead go away just like that. fair result i would say. the next game was against a far more experienced korean team. they were organised and had players of all age groups. they had both experience at the back and pace at the front and never looked uncomfortable playing their football. they took an early lead and we managed to find the equaliser just before half time and it ended 1-1 all square at the half. from then it could swing to either side and we looked for the goal to put as ahead. we did! but after that the Koreans upped their game, showed great character and never looked back. we were chasing for the rest of the game and we never really settled down. i think we were lucky to concede only two goals after that considering the number of chances they had. but again, a huge scoreline wouldnt be fair to us, given our commitment during the game. I guess it was just down to experience and composure that we lack as compared to them. so we lost 3 - 2 and it was terrible. but we must learn to pick ourselves up. there are so many games to go. the next match would be on 10 june but im away on holiday. some pics of our team ![]()
well for gatherings i met up with AJ bandmates, AJ Classmates, MI Classmates AJ bandmates - went out with Kailin and Jlow to harbourfront. we went to harbourfront shopping centre to eat spizza for lunch. ordered the pizza called Juliana - basically it's like hawaiian pizza; with ham and pineapples. we headed down to vivo where we met yong chuen and hanming. caught up a little. then went to bakerzin to eat some desserts. expensive ones! walked around a little more and both of them left for home, desserts look like this! ![]() then i went to meet my MI classmates at clark quay. we went to shop at some shopping centre then went to Riverside Indonesian Restaurant to eat. ordered a bbq and seafood set. price was average, the food was good! i think we left juz the cups, plates, cutlery and bones on the table. nothing else edible remained! haha then walked to city link. before we could reach marina, we decided that I was tired, so we went home! so nice of them lol! here's us:
